So it's not the best picture, but I got this idea from another close to my heart consultant. It's a dry erase board. I think it's really fun. I always worry though that whoever I give it to won't be that pleased to get one. Oh well.

Mother's Day

Well I got a couple of really nice and unexpected gifts for mothers day. My Dad made some picture frames using shells that Micah and
Grant had collected while we were at the beach. That was really wonderful. Dad and Daniel also took out the wood burning stove and put down laminate. That gave us an amazing addition of space to our little den. The remodel just happened sort of spur of the moment. It was really fun watching that. The boys love the extra space. Thanks guys!

See that hair. It really was that windy the whole time. Red flags everywhere. Daniel loved the waves.

All our cute little family pics kinda look like that. Not as cute as I had hoped, but great for scrapbooking.

Here is my Dad with the boys. The rest of us were a little camera shy or the ones taking the photos. Thanks for the wonderful trip. It was really fun seeing my kids at the same place we have been staying at since I was three. They even built back the little bath tub pool. ;) But hey, when you're young it seems huge!

This is where we were! It was soooooo wonderful. I just picked some random pictures to put together these aren't necessarily the best ones but I just wanted to get something up.

My new flower bed

So I was given a few flowers and decided I wanted to make a new flower bed before Micah's birthday. I enlisted my Dad's help is designing the bed and suggesting some flowers. This is the result. For several evenings in a row Dad would drop by with a new plant or two. A load of rocks. Some mulch. Isn't it beautiful. My iris are finally thriving. This is the second year in a row that they bloomed. Some are so full of blooms they are falling on the ground (now they are gracing my table). So thanks to Dad, and to the others that have donated plants. Thanks Daniel for some serious manual labor.

I don't know if you can tell how wonderful this tasted. But it was incredible. The boys loved it. Micah had it all over him. My Dad dropped off a plate full of ribs and pulled pork that he had cooked. Amazing isn't he. YUMMMMM! Are you hungry yet?
